Start spreading the newwws….

I’m leaving today. I now begin my daylong task of packing. It starts with laundry. Yes, that laundry that I was supposed to do yesterday. I also have to make the house look presentable since we’re asking Mom’s brother to look in on Hobbit, Cottin, and Jingles (although Jingles will keep the others in line, no doubt). I plan on leaving around 6pm or so and I’ll be back sometime Sundayish. I’ll miss you, Hewly. You’re the best computer a girl could ever hope for. I’ll miss Hobbit so much it hurts, but I hear that I’ll have roosters to wake me up as early as you do, so don’t worry about me sleeping in. I suppose I’ll have details up as soon as I get back. Laters!

HP and the HBP

Book Six is titled Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Oh, I said to myself, I wonder if that’s referring to Harry or Voldemort… THEN comes final word that it’s neither. Daaaaamn. This is going to be good!

Retro-Futuristic

New Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow trailer is out. If you don’t know what this is all about, I urge you find out. It’s perhaps the most stylish movie I’ve ever been interested in seeing. Nah, that would be Altman’s ode to the fashion world, but anyway…. Things are going well on my end of the world. Fam made it back from New Orleans alright, and even brought me a voodoo doll. Oh, yes, the world is SO mine now! Narayan checked in from Nicaragua after enjoying Guatemala for a week or so. I just hope he makes it to Chile in time. It’s too darned long from now, but Ben, new friend, and I are going to Horrorfind in August…whoo! Bills are paid, a couple more checks to come in, no working…life is good 🙂
[Edit: Nar is now in Costa Rica…lucky SOB]

30 seconds of bliss

So in watching LOTR:TTT for the fifth time this week alone, I am once again given 30 seconds of pure bliss. “The Last March of the Ents” plays for roughly 30 seconds. The official track name is “Isengard Unleashed” but for those 30 seconds, you know the ones, when the Ents march (duh!), man, it gets me every.single.time. It’s played again right before “Forth Eorlingas” as Theoden and Co. prepare to ride out, but it’s the Ent usage that I love so much.
