Not Today

The icon says it all. I’m taking a mental health day today, also known as a PLU to the school system. Every damned Spring, I do this. I get extremely irritable and hateful. I’ve felt this coming for a few weeks now, but it has to stop. I’m hoping the long weekend will “cure” me.

On a lighter note: I haven’t watched CSI in a long time, but WTF is going on with Nick’s hair?!? BLECH! LOST was really good and I’m fighting the urge to join the “what did Locke see?” theorists. I’m just going to float it out, I think. SG-1 AND SGA get a little General O’Neill next season, so that’s just, um, WOW! Can’t wait. The move of The Amazing Race from late Tuesday to early Wednesday is just awesome news. I’m not hating Survivor this time, so that’s also good news. I have two series to get into and caught up on: House and Doctor Who. I’m trying to figure out which one to watch first.

Yes, this is a pretty good day.

Happy Weekend, all!

Christmas is NOW.

Lord of the Rings Two Towers Series 5 Figure: Talking Balrog-Battle Gandalf I got my talking Gandalf today. He sounds just.like.movie.Gandalf. So much so, I got chills hearing him say, “YOU SHALL NOT PASS!” I love it. From the UK, I also received an item I would give up smoking for. It’s a Deluxe Gift Set of the entire Fellowship, all boxed up with a map of Middle Earth and the One Ring on a chain. Nine figures plus extras = really low price. Shipping from Essex = $70. Totally worth it, though. A loose Gimli I bought also arrived today. Once my Denethor, Lurtz, and Saruman arrive, I swear I’m not buying any more toys. Seriously.

Oh it’s good to be a geek.

Dear Lost,

Dear Lost people,

If you’re going to be that boring in the future, how’s about putting the exciting preview for next week’s show before the ep.

Thanks,
Me

Score!

Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring Series 5 Figure: Council Legolas Ever since I started unintentionally collecting LOTR figures, I have scoured toy departments of every store I see. In the last year or so, it’s become increasingly difficult to find them. It makes sense, really, when you think that the film blitz is over and nearly every character has multiple incarnations already. But like a trooper, I haven’t given up. Imagine my glee then, in finding a NEW figure that I didn’t even know existed in my local KayBee Toystore! For the ridiculously low price of $3.99, I got a Council Legolas! I also picked up a spare Boromir at the same price (since I have, um, removed mine from the packaging…repeatedly). Through my loathe of Ebay, I even bid on, and won, a Denethor. Now all I have to do is win my Saruman and I’ll be so happy.

Yes, I am easy to please. I know it. We all know it. *g*
