TV Thoughts

Heroes: Not a lot happened this week, but DAYUM. When Nathan flies, he’s not playing around. WOW! Coolest wow moment of the new season on any show. Peter? Still whiny and even more annoying. Also? Needs more Mohinder. Now that Riley’s pal from The Initiative is officially onboard as Niki’s “murderous” husband, maybe she’ll become a little more interesting.

ANTM: My picks going into the season: Christian, Megan, AJ. If you watch the show, you know how well my track record is looking. I’m almost scared to root for Caridee.

The Nine: Nothing ever really happens, but I still like this show and won’t miss it.

LOST: Damn, how I love Locke-centric eps. LOVE. I’m interested to see what the deal with Hurley’s deja vu will be, but I really don’t care anymore about Jack/Kate OR Kate/Sawyer. I think I’m going to ship Locke/The Island or Eko/Anything.

RW/RR: The Duel: Hahahaha, Tina. HA! If Kina goes soon, I’ll be sooo happy. The Duel itself is boring, but everything else is classic MTV drama. Yay!

Top Chef: No real favorite, no real villain….yet. Padma is only a shade better than Katie as the host, as she always looks like it’s hurting her to speak. It looks like she has a huge scar on her right arm, though, so that makes her way cool.

torchwood.jpgTorchwood: I’ll continue to watch, but not in a baited breath kind of way. It was good, but not great. I like the vibe of the show well enough, but I’m waiting to see just what direction the show ends up going. I compare it with my interest in Series 2 of Doctor Who —must see, but not TEH MINUTE it’s out. I’m surprised to find myself wishing for more Captain Jack Harkness, because I really thought he’d ham it up too much, but he’s very restrained (at least in the first two eps).

  1. Hurly didn’t have deja vu. He realized that Desmond had preja vu about Locke’s rescue speech. Or at least that’s how I read it.

  2. Ah, then I don’t care about that plot point anymore. I have to run to the bedroom to watch the last few minutes of LOST each week because I’m recording it in there but the living room TV starts recording the next show a couple of minutes early so it changes channels automatically. I guess I missed something in transit. :frankie:

  3. Heroes was good
the Nine is like watching paint dry, nothing happens at all
Lost – haven’t seen the last 2 episodes
    Torchwood’s the Who spinoff right?

  4. Jesse, it’s here. You have to buy Object Desktop and install Windowblinds, IconPackager, Theme Manager, and Desktop X in order for the suite to work. :jack:
Todd, yup. “Torchwood” is the spinoff, but it’s only marginally similar.

  5. Thanks! I can’t buy it now…but I need it for work to make my ‘puter all pretty.
