$42.63

I will give $42.63 to anyone who helps me do my first assignment for class. The fact that it’s a legal and ethics class notwithstanding, I think that’s a fair offer. I like classes with tests. I’ve always had great success with tests. Seriously. Except for lousy elective classes I never actually attended at WVU, I’ve never failed a test. I kicked the ACT square in the bottom, did well on the GRE, passed the Miller Analogies in the top 95th percentile, and regular, everyday tests are music to my ears. I just imagine that I’ve been charged with creating the key to the test, and my confidence soars.

Unfortunately, this class has no tests. It’s largely 5 case studies. We’re given a scenario and we have to apply the ethics model and legal precedents. I have to now find the ethics model and legal precedents. Ugh. It’s not difficult at all, it’s just time consuming. Furthermore, I like to be given specific required formats on assignments. Since there is no example, I have to assume that I’m writing in the correct format, but I could be waaaay off.

So, any takers ❓

Also, apologies to Ben and Jesse for not visiting during my trip to Charleston this week. I TOTALLY forgot about it until my coworker asked me on Tuesday, “Don’t you have a conference tomorrow?” ACK!! Fortunately, she decided to attend it with me and we jetted to the hotel, arriving just in time to catch the end of Star Wars, get some food, and sleep. I’m going to try to schedule a pleasure visit at some point so we can actually do stuff. BTW, I cannot get my coworker to stop referring to Ben and Jesse and Ben and Jerry. For some reason, it cracks me up every time she says it. Hee!

Vrooom!

Late birthday prezzies! Mom and I went to El Mariachi for lunch and then she gave me my present—an electric snow shovel! I’m so the geekiest person in my subdivision. Heh. It’s the same size as a regular snow shovel, but it blows the snow just like a big snowblower. Unfortunately, I had already shoveled something like 9 times already so there wasn’t much I could do with it…yet.

Yay!   :flake:

Another Year Something

Thanks for the birthday wishes! This was actually one of the more enjoyable birthdays of recent years. I got my early gifts from Ben and Jesse, super-cool post from Ben on LJ, socks and Borders gift card from Scott and Jamie, and a cool diecast metal AT-AT from Cage. Mrs. Bush (the other counselor at work) got me a caramel pound cake and Mom made my candle cake. The family ate out and had a pleasant time. Hobbit and Istar held a rowdy party last night, and Istar must have hit the hooch a little too much because he kept wanting to get in the fireplace. He’s a little nutty, that one!

I was going to see the MVHS production of Steel Magnolias, but since we have several inches of snow, it’s been postponed. Now I can do that work I had planned on doing yesterday. Ooh, and I still have to finish my assignment for class.

No, brotha.

How sad is it that I like Desmond better than all but one original cast member?

We got out of work early yesterday and had a full snowday today. :flake: Yay! I have some work I could be doing, but it looks like my birthday plans (the ones from when I was young and thought I’d be celebrating with diamond “Forever” necklaces from my astonishingly gorgeous husband) aren’t going to pan out and I can spend all weekend doing credit checks for the juniors and sophomores.

Tonight is one of the best nights for television: Survivor, CSI, Ugly Betty, Whoo! Oh, I have to say that I  the SG-1 ep from this week. It felt just like an old season 3 or 4 ep, only, you know, without Jack. Still, I really liked it.
