Haircut 100

Double cookies to anyone who gets the title of this post. :clown: Anyway, I got a haircut today. Actually, I’ve cut my own hair every day for about a month now, so I was in desperate need of professional help (yes, in more ways than one). I tried to do the dorktastic “take a picture of myself” thing, but it didn’t turn out well, so just picture Carter, Season 8; more “Threads” than “It’s Good To Be King”, but I’m pleased.

I’m seriously jonesing for more Fringe. Tuesdays (Eureka) can’t come soon enough, and I’ve already ‘thonned Heroes, Pushing Daisies, Spaced, and Doctor Who (including Christmas specials). If the trade-off for going back to work means Fall TV Schedules, I’m ready. Project Runway and Shear Genius each proved that there’s no logic in the judges’ thought, so while I will watch them more as “shows” than “competitions”.

Yeah, Horrible

At one time, I would have died for Joss Whedon. Now? Not so much. Rabid fans turned me off before Firefly even premiered and now I think I may be prejudiced against Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog to the point that I can’t enjoy it. The actors are good enough, but the songs are just bad. It’s like Willow and Tara’s song over and over again. And over some more. I can’t believe how many people are clamoring to get this on DVD. Weird, yet oddly refreshing to see than fandom love lives on in the hearts of the devoted.

NO NO NO

A thousand times, NO! Didn’t the SciFi Channel people learn their lesson when they tried this BS with SG-1?!? One of the best things about Eureka has always been the retro-futuristic feel of the credits and now they are using the same abbreviated, title-only mess that SG-1 fans had to rally against. ARGH!

Change it back. Change it back NOW.

Otherwise, good ep!

Get Ready For Eureka!

Tuesday, July, 29–Eureka season premiere. I.CAN.NOT.WAIT Eureka‘s one of those rare shows that has a bit of everything (including intelligence). Though the plots are sometimes far fetched, the cast is excellent and always manages to pull off the funny, sad, and geeky parts. It’s a must-see show.

Since we were treated to a nice little Eureka marathon this weekend, I’ve been watching rips of Pushing Daisies. This is another quirky show that I really like. I’ve said it before, but Emerson Cod is one of the best written characters on TV. I smirk just thinking about his comebacks. LOVE. The new casting spoilers about Emerson’s mother made me happier than I’ve ever been about casting news…and I’ve never even heard of her. The picture just *BAMS* you in the head making you smile. Here’s to a great second season for The Pie Hole gang!
