Reason #45434

It’s no secret that I’m going to die alone. Out of the thousands of reasons, one is that I watch either Evil Under The Sun or Death On The Nile every night as I go to bed. Both are films based on Agatha Christie books featuring my favorite portrayal of any sleuth ever- Sir Peter Ustinov as Hercules Poirot. Imagine my glee (and extraordinarily geeky *squee*) that next week’s Doctor Who is all about Agatha Christie. Oh, yes, I was giddy. Still am.

I had dreaded this week’s DW, but I ended up liking well enough. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed the way Martha was written this whole season, but just having Freema around for a bit was good enough. I certainly hope to see her in the Whoverse, be it DW or TW.  I believe there’s a bit more for her in each.

I love that Belgian

Death on the NileDeath on the Nile, one of my favorite Agatha Christie stories, was on tv when I woke up today. This may be a great weekend yet. It started off with a visit from Ben, who brought me a gorgeous Audrey Hepburn calendar. :thud: We had our usual mexican and then wrapped up the evening by watching a coupla few SGA eps. *swoon*

I’m wishing all kinds of good luck to Todd and Cole today. Here’s hoping for even more great news in the future for those two

Freedom

I’m off work until Jan. 3, 2005. How amazing is it that MTV is playing a Real World/Road Rules Challenge marathon for me? There are certain things that I will watch no matter what else is on. They aren’t my favorites, but for whatever reason, I am glued to them. They include such gems as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Delirious, Housesitter, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Funny Farm, Agatha Christie movies with Ustinov, and the above mentioned Challenges. I wonder if other people have the same quirks?

Show and tell

Quick notes: Agatha Christie marathon on Starz! Mystery Channel today…wheee! Good-bye and good riddance to BB5. I won’t be watching the finale and do not care who wins. The caliber of contestants will have to increase drastically for me to watch this show ever again. The Amazing Race however, is an entirely different story. Continue reading Show and tell
