Well, it really is for the best…

I’m so late on the uptake. Apparently, Blood Canticle actually is Anne Rice’s last story of the Vampire Chronicles as well as the Mayfairs. I’m very disappointed in the latter. I also read on MSNBC that NBC is making a miniseries based on The Witching Hour. No comment. Just….no….comment. *sigh*

Mon dieu!

It is safe to say that I have read my last work by Anne Rice. Blood Canticle was the disappointment I feared it would be. There was one small tiny redeeming point. Khayman was mentioned, albeit in a brief, almost throwaway capacity. *sigh* When will she learn that she is the only one who cares about Lestat….at all?!?

Although I don’t watch anymore:

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, Survivor: Pearl Islands officially sucks without Rupert. Even though the episode tonight had “drama” and tension, it was just dry. Jon is a loser. He’s less of a mastermind, and more of “the idiot I want to take to the final two with me because I’ll definitely win” guy. Even with his little story, it was dry and lacking. Hopefully it will regain its entertainment factor next week.

I bought the new Anne Rice book, Blood Canticle, but I haven’t read a single word of it yet. I’m dreading the outcome, to be honest. Her last SEVERAL books haven’t been up to her usual standard. I’ll let you know by Monday how it was.

Enjoy your turkey!!
