Mission Accomplished

Thanks to and , my first class of Spring 2007 went wonderfully. Thanks, guys, for allowing me to literally crash your home and your Friday night plans. 😳 Since class let out early Friday night, we went to IHOP and I definitely owe Jesse a meal of his choice next time I see him. It was deeeelish. Class itself went amazingly smooth and though I have a ton of work due next meeting (March 16th), it’s all personal reaction type assignments and I’ll have fun finishing them. The one thing that won’t be as fun is making an audio tape of a mock-therapy session. I always hate to tape things because it forces me to admit I’ve regained my accent in full. Ugh.

On a completely different note, my vid program continues to be a pain, but I can say with confidence that I’ll finish my first “Heroes” vid this week. I’m really REALLY liking it so far. Yay!!!

Stay warm, everyone! :cold:

It’s Official!

I’m officially a Marshall University graduate student. I believe that with the two classes I’ve already completed, I have only to take 2 or 3 more to have my certification! I knew my Master’s Degree would be useful one day. *whew*

Stuff Everywhere!

I have two final projects due in the next two days, I *just* made my hotel reservations for Tuesday and Wednesday (even though the info said they had to be made by April 10th), I have a case of anxiety that may or may not be due to the aforementioned events, and Dad’s birthday is Thursday.

My brain has turned to mush over the break and I can’t even begin to think of all the things I have to do at work tomorrow. Oh, and I’m supposed to try to register for another class over the summer.

Yeah, I’m spent.

I’m a winner!

Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes. I did indeed surpass the score needed on the MAT yesterday.

The test was online, so we got our scores immediately. I wish the ACT was always that way, then my students wouldn’t have to face the agony of waiting 4-6 weeks for their scores. Anyway, I made it with no problem, but my brother had no idea what he was doing. He had stayed out until 2:30 am the night before and found out about the test mere hours before we left. His program requires a lower score than mine, however, and he far exceeded the requirement. We had a blast comparing test items on the way home (as for some inexplicable reason, they put the two of us in a lab alone and taking the same test). He kept using the defense of “I didn’t know you could cross-reference!!!” He seriously had no idea how to work the analogies. We had so much fun talking about it, we missed our exit off the interstate and ended up faaaaaaar away from home. Heh. It was really a great day for the Miller kids.

I’m off to monitor Hobbit, who seems to be a bit under the weather today. I’m sure she’ll be fine, but she needs a little TLC right not. I’m also going to finish Doctor Who 2005 and convince myself the forge ahead and accept Doctor Ten. Oh, and after hearing rumors of changes to The Amazing Race, I have to say that the last 5 minutes had me standing and cheering. Out of all the teams, I don’t hate any of them, but losing Ray and Yolanda wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all.
