Even though the episode tonight had “drama” and tension, it was just dry. Jon is a loser. He’s less of a mastermind, and more of “the idiot I want to take to the final two with me because I’ll definitely win” guy. Even with his little story, it was dry and lacking. Hopefully it will regain its entertainment factor next week.

I bought the new Anne Rice book, Blood Canticle, but I haven’t read a single word of it yet. I’m dreading the outcome, to be honest. Her last SEVERAL books haven’t been up to her usual standard. I’ll let you know by Monday how it was.

I’m at work, in a school where we have no control over the heat/AC. The “office” makes the decision for the rest of the school. I’ve been to the “office” and it’s NOT an inferno. Anyway, Survivor: Pearl Islands is on tonight. My guess for returning players : Burton and Michelle. I had to think pretty hard on the last one, and it may just be that I want Michelle more than the others, but I def think Burton is back. CSI had better not be garbage-y like last week. I mean, come on, now…animals?!? UGH.

Survivor was meh. Here’s what I thought would have been better: I thought the people who had been voted off were going to be called the “Ghost Tribe” which sounds a helluva lot better than the “Outcasts”. *pukes* Anyway, I thought the reason for them returning, was to act as a ghost tribe, spoiling things for the people who were left. Perhaps by be-witching the active players in challenges, they would earn their revenge (for instance, Rupert is barreling through a challenge…until (!)…Burton rises out of the water and trips him!) Maybe my idea wouldn’t have been any better, but it would have been more “Theme-y”

Here’s something that made me angry. Granted, the man in the center of this story is not worthy of pity, and I don’t actually mean to bestow any. Anyway, a known sex offender may or may not have exposed himself to a group of Catholic School girls. As many as 20 of said girls chased him, kicked him, and assaulted him while adults admit to allowing it to happen. What kind of girls is this community in Philadelphia raising? People allowed the children to whip themselves into a violent frenzy and then congratulated them on it. That’s sick. Regardless of the who, what, when, the sight of these girls acting like animals should have been seen as a travesty, not as heroic.

Oh well….I’ve read the self-righteous ramblings on the LJ for the day, so all that’s left is to get my car inspected, pack my stuff, and hit the road. *whew*

I can see why the Drake tribe would want Rupert out. They’re right. They CANNOT beat him in the end. But for them to “up and decide” that he’s too this or too that has really pissed me off. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this angry because of a reality show.

I think I’m going to have to go calm down.

Very well. This means I will probably NOT get the job….heh. Either way, I’m looking at being content for the first time in, um, maybe ever (?).

I’ve decided to stay away from Survivor: Pearl Islands spoilers. BB was a little different, with the livefeeds and whatnot, plus the circus-like feel of the show. I’ve already seen enough spoilers for Survivor to know that I’d rather just ride along blissfully unaware.
