New Challenge Tonight

I have no logo for my new show. It makes me want to shout, “Where my homies logos at?!?” The RW/RR Challenge: The Island debuts tonight, and as always, I’ll be watching. Even though I won’t know half of the contestants, after this season, they’ll be like old friends to me when I see them on their next challenge. Whoo hoo!

I’ve been croupish for a week and a half now. I’m over it. Well, I’m not over it, I’m over the thought of it. Go away, hack. I have no doubt that if I put the Newports down, it’ll get better faster, so I guess I really can’t complain too much, but still…. Oh, and if I could only remember to NOT BITE MY NAILS, especially at the start of the school year, I probably wouldn’t have caught this mess in the first place. Bah!

College Fair tomorrow…wish me luck! It’ll be a miracle if this thing happens at all. 😳

Omens, good.

Thanks to a wonderfully geeky transfer student, I was loaned a well-worn copy of Good Omens this weekend. I’ve been urged by Ben to try out Terry Pratchett, but something about the student’s enthusiastic offering of his book made me break down and read it. Though it’s actually by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, it should count toward Ben’s column, no? For a quick little read, I found it charming. Fortunately, I was able to discard the environmental junk and focus on the humor. I’m lucky that way. I’ll seriously consider reading Hitchhiker’s Guide at some point.

Two more British familial castings I knew nothing about: Lupin (HP) is married to with Chuck (PD). Wow! Also? The Doctor’s daughter, IS The (Fifth) Doctor’s daughter. *head spins*

Hurray for Election Day, even if I have no need of primaries. Being a republican in a democrat state gives me nothing more than a day off work; which I’ll take. 😉 Oh, and the day is made all the better by the SG-1 marathon (of sorts) on Sci-Fi!

Tube News

Extremely brief wrap-up.

LOST– Eh, I didn’t turn it off, that’s an improvement. Still not feeling it.

Torchwood– S2E2 and S2E3- Not as good as S1E1.  Not giving up.

SGA– Last week was painful to watch.  That little girl is NOT a good actress.  Don’t go there again.  This week? Filler.   Next week?  Dr. Keller again.  Ugh.  Visceral hatred for an hour.

Make Me A Supermodel– Yeah, I voted (repeatedly) for Holly to stay, what of it?  There was no chance she was leaving, but I really thought it would be Jay.  No need to vote this week, don’t care about any of them.

As usual, the one show I can count on to entertain me (possibly due to my low expectations) is The Gauntlet III.

It’s All Science

You know what I’ve found? When I have vid recs in the queue for Fanvid-Recs, I feel too guilty to post here. I just added six recs and now I feel free.

I’m watching S2E2 of Torchwood and if it’s as good as S2E1, I’m going to be very glad. Others have said plenty about James Marsters’ trip to Cardiff, and I don’t have much to add, but I’ll agree with the fact that there seems to be an abundance of Jack kissing this series, and, well, YAY! I wasn’t the biggest fan of Series 1, but so far, so good.

I’m in a bit of a conundrum with regards to my television viewing schedule for tonight; new Project Runway/premiere of RW/RR Challenge: The Gauntlet III . I can’t stay up until midnight to watch both, but I can’t pick which one to watch tonight. It really is like Sophie’s Choice. Really.

Oh, one more thing.  PRODUCT WARNING:  Do NOT buy Pillsbury Reduced Fat Cinnamon Rolls.  It’s like someone took some plain canned biscuits to a class of kindergarteners and let them shove little chunks of cinnamon into them with their paws.  Blech.  The name alone-Cinnamon ROLLS- suggests, I dunno, ROLLS of some kind.  I don’t get it.
