It’s All Science

You know what I’ve found? When I have vid recs in the queue for Fanvid-Recs, I feel too guilty to post here. I just added six recs and now I feel free.

I’m watching S2E2 of Torchwood and if it’s as good as S2E1, I’m going to be very glad. Others have said plenty about James Marsters’ trip to Cardiff, and I don’t have much to add, but I’ll agree with the fact that there seems to be an abundance of Jack kissing this series, and, well, YAY! I wasn’t the biggest fan of Series 1, but so far, so good.

I’m in a bit of a conundrum with regards to my television viewing schedule for tonight; new Project Runway/premiere of RW/RR Challenge: The Gauntlet III . I can’t stay up until midnight to watch both, but I can’t pick which one to watch tonight. It really is like Sophie’s Choice. Really.

Oh, one more thing.  PRODUCT WARNING:  Do NOT buy Pillsbury Reduced Fat Cinnamon Rolls.  It’s like someone took some plain canned biscuits to a class of kindergarteners and let them shove little chunks of cinnamon into them with their paws.  Blech.  The name alone-Cinnamon ROLLS- suggests, I dunno, ROLLS of some kind.  I don’t get it.

Doctor What?!?

whologo.jpg Oh. Oh no. Just no. The finale was mind-boggling in that awful, how could they(?!) kind of way. Parts of the plot, were good. Martha’s stuff was tremendously better than all the rest, but what they did to The Doctor, oh lord, *shudders* that will be remembered as one of the worst, absolute worst, plotpoints in history. Seriously. We as a human race do not have the technology to make that look good for TV, so don’t try it. *shudders* I do, however, the Jack twist. I had a total WOW! moment there. The Christmas special has already started out on a TOTAL non-canon note, and I’m just not sure about this show anymore. I actually found myself wanting to watch Torchwood(which I never knew was an anagram of Doctor Who until this week…duh!), and that can’t be a good sign. I looped the last two episodes to death, and I don’t even know if I can watch the finale again. Sadness.

Anyway, I’ll be incommunicado for the next few days as I join my family for a little vacation time, so have a great week, everyone!

P.S. I lost 5.5 lbs. in my first week back in WW. Yay!

I Do!

whologo.jpgWow, oh wow! I just thoroughly enjoyed the Doctor Who 2006 Christmas Special, The Runaway Bride. I’m still not a huge Ten fan, but I can tell I’m going to enjoy the show much more without Ten and Rose together. I’ll miss Rose, but now I can pretend that she’s in Nineland living happily ever after. Yes, I know that completely negates the point of The Doctor, but it’s my fantasy, so nya. While this special was tons (and tons) of fun, there is a serious problem starting to show with The Doctor, and as much as I don’t have a huge attachment to Tennant, I *still* have my worries for The Doctor. What I do NOT want to see is DW begin to get as dark as Torchwood (aka, the Non-Captain Jack show). I count on my DW being a good blend of silly and serious (yeah, maybe with a bend toward silly), and though I appreciate The Doctor’s burden, I don’t want to see him consumed by it. 😮

For a holiday hoot, I highly, highly recommend this one to everyone. Happy Returns Day!

Where Was I

I don’t even remember last time I posted or what I said. I’m still too sick to even go back and read it. I’ve been having just a bit of a chest cold, but it’s got me feeling tired and blah. Mom insisted on bringing me some cough medicine (even though I wasn’t coughing) with about 42 different narcotics in it. Well, probably none, but it felt like it. She also brought me two cubes of Diet Mtn. Dew, some tiramisu (YUMMM), cube steak, and $50. What an assortment, eh? That’s my mom, though–covering all the bases :elf:

SGA was awesome again, although Rodney haters won’t see it that way. Torchwood was… Um, Torchwood was…Dang, I can’t remember what it was about. Oh, I remember, it was actually one of my favorite eps so far. Yes, and I can’t remember it quickly. Sums up that show, huh?
