It’s a good time to be a geek

I have a pretty decent copy of Van Helsing to watch in the comfort of my own home. I’m dying to get Troy, although I see myself catching it in the theater at least once more. I know I’m biased, but I have to say that Sean Bean/Odysseus got all of the good lines. It’s fitting, but also appreciated by a fangirl such as myself. Since I haven’t read the source material yet, the movie didn’t bother me with it’s inaccuracies. Chances are, I still won’t be upset with the character of O, since I’m so swoony. I do have to say that Eric Bana blew me away. I’ve never seen him in anything and he was flawless as Hector. Brad was hot as hell, of course, and in that one scene…the one where you wish the camera would drop just.a.little.more…GUH!

I’d like to say more, but I really am still *squee* over this movie, so I’ll have to wait.

Until then, I can sigh happily knowing that in the next month we get Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and The Chronicles of Riddick.

One more thing, Jeff!

They forgot to nominate Ken from Thailand as Sexiest Male Survivor. I knew there was something missing…

Whoo Rupert! See? We do love you!

Lots to say

Wow, Blogger just changed formats on me. OK, on with the update. First of all, thanks to Ben for letting me come up to see his jazzy new place. I love the layout of his apartment, and it was super-easy to find! We had yummy Mexican for dinner, and then saw Van Helsing. Now I went on AICN and defended this movie several times. Wow, do I feel like a jackass. HA! It was sooo bad. Daisy was terrific, of course, and the more I think about it, I am starting to like it more, but at the time it was just painful.

Survivor: All Stars was pretty much what I expected. I thought Rob would win, since he actually strategized, but that didn’t seem to affect the jury. Amber is by far the luckiest girl in the world right now: Rob and a mil. Grrrr. And for the twist? I’ve already voted. Guess who for?

I think I have more to say, but my brain is stuck in Rob-land….heh.
