Interjections!

The First Annual Big Creek High School Arts Festival was held today. Ashley and I made the hour and a half drive to where I work to check it out. We missed the “musical” component, as it was held early this morning. We were, however, able to peruse the visual art presented by the students. I gotta say, some of those kids are mega-talented. Next up, and the main event, was the WV Theater Group’s presentation of Schoolhouse Rock. It was very entertaining, and I was glad I could remember the words to “I’m Just a Bill,” “Interjections!,” and “Conjunction Junction.” There were several more numbers, but they’re either new or I just don’t remember them.

Make Someone Happy

I didn’t pull any April Fool’s Day jokes, but I did get a chuckle out of my dad. To say that he’s an avid golfer is an understatement. To say that he’ll jump at the chance to wheel and deal golf equipment is, too. Today he got the opportunity to do both. He had just arrived at the golf course when he ran into a buddy and made a deal for a club he no longer wanted. He called me and asked me to get it and take it to him at the course.

I replied, “OK, but is it a hitter, or a putter?” which he just found to be so amusing. He’s told that line to everyone he’s spoken with today..heh. I’m glad I could bring a little sunshine into his day. 🙂
