Testing out the new WordPress 2.1/Live+Press compatability. Using my quick fix seems to work, but on a test post, I didn’t get my mood icon to show. Let’s see if it does this time….

Technobabble about LivePress
I use Live+Press to mix my site here with a little Livejournal. The original plugin was made by the hugely talented Unteins, but hasn’t really been updated much since. He includes a link to a fix that has been working for me since the WordPress 1.5-2.0 era. Now that WordPress 2.1 is coming, with many changes, of course, Live+Press doesn’t like it. On my test site, I have Live+Press working again, but only under one quirky condition. In order to have the options appear on a new post, I have to type the title of the post and press “Enter”. The new posting page, rather than being called post.php, is post-new.php and LP is not made to work with that file. I edited the core plugin files, but I didn’t know what the hell I was doing, so the options appeared, but didn’t work. One extra “Enter” doesn’t bother me, but I hope someone will fix this plugin soon. I know it’s going to be an easy fix, but I’ve already proven I won’t be the one to do it.
In summation, for anyone with an already functional install of Live+Press, for WordPress 2.1, type the title of your new post, press “Enter” (which brings up the old post.php?action=edit&post=xx) and continue as always. :wink2:

Beckett had one of the best lines ever in “Letters from Pegasus” when Ford reminded him that he couldn’t breach security by revealing details of their mission after Beckett had sent a message to his mother that we Earthlings were a smart bunch. “She knows we’re from Earth, son!” spoken with his adorable Scottish accent without a trace of reprimand or irony will forever be one of my favorite lines from any television show and I’m going to just quit talking now because I’m going to ramble, rant, or worse, babble. DAMMIT. JUST DAMMIT.
I Leave For 5 Minutes…
…and the state of affairs is NOT good. Istar seems to be healed up quite nicely. He finished his second round of antibiotic Saturday and now he’s taking only the microbial replacement therapy (which prevents upset tummy).
However, the news about Season 4 of SGA is NOT looking good. First off, we find out that a beloved cast member will “go missing” and that the Wraith aren’t the main villains anymore, but the Replicators will become so. We know that we’re getting a cast member from the junk heap that was Firefly (sorry fans), and now comes word that Weir is leaving?!? The backbone of the show?!?! Recurring. Yeah, ask Ford about that one. Arrrrrgh! 😡 I don’t know if I can watch SGA without Weir. I could do without anyone (even Ronon!) except Weir and Sheppard. Woes!!!
Oh, and ironically enough, I finished the new (and default) theme, Team, before I read all the latest SGA news. Joke’s on me.
