More, please!

Last night’s episode of SGA was awesome. I’ve been waiting for a good ep for about two years now, and this was it. This was nearly like a Season 1 episode, in that the team was featured rather than the blossoming romances of Keller (none of which work, btw). The only thing this episode (or any of them, for that matter) was missing was Dr. Weir and maybe a little Woolsey. It even had Lorne looking right at home in a command capacity.

The villains were the first exciting badguys in a long time, and I certainly hope we see a LOT more of them. They’re like WraithBorg or something, and they.are.cool. I hope the writers return to this story and let the whole Michael story go. I like Connor Trinneer well enough, but that story is as boring as, well, Keller.

In other news, my server keeps blinking, so if you’ve had problems loading the site–sorry!

  1. I enjoyed it, too. And if they are using the Borg model then we’ll have to wait until the end of the season at least for more of them (based on how the Borg were introduced). I was over the Replicators after their 2nd SG-1 ep. I guess I messed the Connor Trinneer eps ’cause I dunno who that is.

  2. He’s the actor who played “Michael”, a wraith-turned-human (due to Beckett’s retrovirus). Anyway, he got all wraithy again and now he’s the main baddie. He’s the one that kidnapped Teyla at the end of last season. Looks like more Replicator fun next week. 😡

  3. That’s the same guy from Enterprise that played Trip, right? He played Michael the first time didn’t he? Either way, I’m over the Michael stuff, too. They should have gotten the first actress who played Weir to be in next weeks ep.

  4. Yep, that’s Trip. Now I’m going into full geek mode: Torri Higginson (whom we met at D*C) wasn’t the first Dr. Weir. Some blond chick played the character in the S7 two-part finale of SG-1. Our Dr. Weir began S8 of SG-1 before relocating to Atlantis. But, yeah, they should definitely have cast her for next week’s ep.

  5. I know, I meant the very firstest Weir, the blond one. That would have been funny.

One of the many disappointing things about Enterprise was Trip didn’t exposed to alien viruses or radiation nearly enough. Then he’d have had to spend more time stripped off in Phlox’s decontamination chamber.

  6. OMG, please say you’re kidding me. The firstest Dr. Weir was laughable. She belongs in one of those “80s Valley Girl/Funny Vampire/John Hughes” movies. I hated her so much that whenever I watch “Lost City” I tune her out.

I still can’t get past the theme song to Enterprise so I don’t watch, even though I’d like to.

  7. I don’t recall her ability, or lack thereof, just the notion of if there’s a different Weir may as well use the first one struck me as comical.

Yeah the theme is so so horrible. When I do watch I make sure my finger is on the channel button so I can switch before it starts. Then in my head I make up my own theme.

  8. Thank you for every other wonderful post. The place else may
just anybody get that type of info in such
an ideal approach of writing? I have a presentation next week, and
I’m on the look for such info.
