Even Excedrin Fails

Arrgh. I have a headache. I have a massive headache. Taking six tablets today hasn’t helped much. Putting in for a transfer has alternately lessened and worsened it. So. What’s the one thing that can push me over the edge? Yep. It’s Benny Ninja time on ANTM. Hellllllp. I have a twelve hour workday tomorrow and I stayed up for this?!? I’d love to stay up for Make Me A Supermodel, but I think I’ll be catching my recording of it on Friday. Nah, you’re right. It will be Saturday before I watch, as I will be conked out on the sofa from the minute I get home Friday until sometime Saturday morning. Heh.

In optimistic news, I just found out that we get not only Robin Hood on Saturday, but Primeval too! Finally–some excellent news.

[Edit for the OMFG! Oh no she didn’t on ANTM!]

Spring Feverish

heroeslogo Heroes didn’t disappoint. The hype was there, and I loved it. For a non-Sylar episode, I would say that it was actually pretty fantastic. While nearly everyone called the identity of Rebel, I was glad to see it play out the way it did. The only thing that would have been even cooler is if Rebel had actually had the accomplice we thought he would have. How’s that for non-specific non-spoiler? Oh, and Daphne was, as always, adorable. Next week is going to be all Sylar! SYLAR!

In this year’s installment of “Why I Hate Spring”, I refer you to the poison ivy on my hands. I left the house for less than five minutes to pick up some rubbish that had blown into my yard during the recent storms and came in immediately to wash with bleach, but it beat me. If the poison ivy stays contained to my hands, I’ll be happy; it’s the face affliction that I dread. I’m on double the Benedryl now, so hopefully it will provide some kind of benefit. I really don’t want to be forced to get the injections and prescriptions for decadron and steroids–again.

Return to Sherwood

Robin Hood S3 Next Saturday marks the return of the BBC’s Robin Hood. Nearly all my fandom friends watch, so it will be good to have another shared fandom again. Though we lost some cast members after S2, we will get some new faces to love (or hate), so that should freshen things up a bit. I don’t know how much of the accepted legend will be followed, but I’m truly not bothered by the liberties the show takes; it works well enough for me!

NCAA Worst Case Scenario

Much like most people love their children, my brother has an almost unnatural love for sports and sports teams; specifically Wake Forest, Ohio State, Denver Broncos, and the hometeam, WVU.

Wake, Ohio State, and WVU all lost their games yesterday in the first round of NCAA March Madness. I liken it to the Pushing Daisies situation, but imagine if ALL your favorite shows got canceled early…devastation, no?

I can’t even imagine what he’ll be like today. My guess is that he won’t get out of bed all day. He owns about three shirts that don’t feature one of the aforementioned teams, so I’m sure he won’t get dressed. I feel so badly for him, but at least now he can watch the rest of the games without the anxiety he always feels when one of his teams is playing. It’s no real consolation, but it’s something.
