I don’t know how I let this show slip past me the first time around. Being Human is now airing on BBCAmerica and I’m just getting around to watching it. I’m not sure what vibe they’re going for; there’s wit, horror, drama, and intrigue. There’s just not enough of any of them, really. It’s not so much that I didn’t like the first episode (and I really like Mitchell), I just don’t know what I’m meant to think about it.
I’m going to stick with it, though I already wish I was watching the original series. Russell Tovey (who appears to really like his bum) has already had to have some butt-blurring, and there’s no telling what else has been cut or changed. Hopefully it’s not enough to make a difference in the overall feel of the show (Sci-Fi SyFy, I’m glaring at you and the Doctor Who cuts you made :evileye: ), but since there doesn’t appear to be too much to feel, I guess it won’t matter.
I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both educative and engaging, and let
me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The issue is something that too few people are speaking intelligently about.
