The First Annual Big Creek High School Arts Festival was held today. Ashley and I made the hour and a half drive to where I work to check it out. We missed the “musical” component, as it was held early this morning. We were, however, able to peruse the visual art presented by the students. I gotta say, some of those kids are mega-talented. Next up, and the main event, was the WV Theater Group’s presentation of Schoolhouse Rock. It was very entertaining, and I was glad I could remember the words to “I’m Just a Bill,” “Interjections!,” and “Conjunction Junction.” There were several more numbers, but they’re either new or I just don’t remember them.

new Schoolhouse Rock songs:?: I don’t think there have been any new ones since oh, ’78 or so
New as in “Orginal songs written for this play.”
I sooo remember those songs. Wow…I woulda OD’ed on nostalgia. Sounds like a kewl time.;)
It sounds a lot better than it was. Only about 20 people showed up to watch the play. It’s hard to say why, but I’m guessing with it being during our break, some of the kids were out of town.
