Of vids and epics

Over the weekend, I dealt with the loss of Ol’ Dirty pretty well. I made two Lost vids (one is Sawyer/Kate and one is Locke). The S/K vid is pretty much textbook shippiness, and the Locke vid, well, if you don’t like Leonard Cohen, stay far far away from it. It’s killing me that I can’t find songs to use for more SGA vids. Major was so fun to make and I really want to do more, but song choice is definitely tougher for that genre.

On to the next round of fear inducing ROTS news. :ranting:

So people are going crazy for the first 7-8 minutes that have been seen. There’s an epic space battle, yada yada yada. See? That is exactly what I don’t want to see. I want it to be scaled down throughout the whole movie so that it resembles the starkness of the OT. I’m tired of movies that just have to top the “Grandness” of xyz. Here’s a thought, let the STORY be grand, and add a few effects when it’s done.

  1. Agrees w/ Ben… it’s been sad since Phantom Menace. 🙁 People don’t concentrate enough on the stories/characters anymore… it’s all about the effects. And that’s SOOOO sad when you have amazing actors like Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson… etc etc. that can most definately pull of a character driven movie.

  2. I love the linking features and the plugins that I added to my WP. I’m so glad I got over my fear of .php and the like
