Better Halves (of the week)

bscap0116.jpgAfter a very busy week, I was able to watch Heroes today. I’m really enjoying this show and I hope everyone at home is watching, too. While this ep had only a couple of plotlines, it’s starting to show the divergence of the cast in pretty astounding ways. Next week is going to be even more terrific. *Be careful, Isaac!*

There’s pretty much no possible way that Micah can’t have some pretty great, if dormant, powers. Niki doesn’t really do anything for me as a character, but D.L. still has my love from S4 of BtVS and I was glad to see his *BAM* moment. Micah’s gotta have some supercool genes in there!

I’m still behind in this week’s schedule and haven’t even watched The Nine or ANTM yet, but Heroes makes up for all of the shortcomings (see below) of what I have watched. Almost. DAMMIT, Eko, I they need you!!

Dear LOST,

It’s over. ‘Twas nice knowing you (well, sometimes, at least).

Someone please tell me if what happened tonight didn’t really happen, because, dude, I’m out. The Others bore me to tears and the dynamic of the show is just blah. If it’s not the Eko/Locke show, there’s nothing I care to see.

As of today, the downloads stop, the dvr is reset, and no more LOST vids will be made. What a frellin’ waste.

torchwood.jpgThree episodes in and all I can say is, “It’s gonna be a loooong season, y’all.” This show is nowhere near as fun as Doctor Who, not even as fun as eps with Ostrichboy Ten. The allure of Captain Jack Harkness was his boyish naughtiness. In Torchwood, Jack is just dead. There’s no fire in him at all. He’s like a cross between Chris Noth on Law & Order and Tom Cruise–and you know I hate Tom Cruise. I’ll watch because I can, but this show is already dying a painful death to me. I can’t wait for you guys to check it out and tell me if I’m just being narrow-minded or if it’s really crap.
