Good Wank

How glad am I that I am not in the Harry Potter fandom? VERY. FW has just added the most delicious wank in ages. It’s too long to go into, but it involves a member of the (self-proclaimed) inner-circle being found out to have created several sockpuppets over the last 3 or 4 years to defend (and sometimes fight) her. Someone actually did an investigatory 90,000 word report on the whole thing. Oh, god, it’s a thing of beauty. It brings back the excitement of the early days of wank, though nothing will ever match LOTR wank in my heart. From the tinhats to CrystalWank, LOTR never failed to produce.

Just remember…a life unwanked is not a life worth living (or, um, something like that).

I am watching Fellowship of The Ring on my brand new glorious 42″ widescreen plasma television and once again, life is good.

Wilderness fun…or not.

I’m in Canaan Valley for a conference. If I was an outdoorsy kind of girl, this would be great. As it is, I’m in my room, which has (honestly) chairs made of logs, playing on the internet. We have a great cable selection, though, so I’m good. I’m here until Thursday and I’m still waiting to figure out what the heck I’m doing with Ben and Jesse. Hey, guys, if either of you stumble upon this, let me know the actual dates of your vacation.

In “End of an Era” news, Video Elite has announced that VE Awards will no longer be awarded. It’s partly due to the number of small “award” sites that have popped up and also, I think, due to the fact that some vidders are relying on too many special effects, filters, transitions, etc., that it makes the vidding pool a little convoluted. I’m proud to have received my six awards from them and to have contributed in finding vids as well. Thanks, Barbi and Marie! You made fanvids what they are today! :love:

Well how do you like that? I’ve lost all of my S2D2 LOST eps. They’re gone…poof. The disc is blank. I used that disc to make ‘s clips, so once again, I KNOW they were there. I’m starting to think the brand of discs I bought may be unstable in some way. Regardless, I’m pissed. Very. I finally get a vid idea and I have no footage. I don’t have the original source material anymore because, you know, BURNED TO DISC. Dammit. I’m going to use the song for a SGA vid anyway. It would have been better for Sawyer/Ensemble, but it’ll do for a nice Ronon/Ensemble too.
