Anemic Year

Following in the footsteps of ,, and :

Vids I created in 2006

January: none

February: Lonely Day, SGA, Ronon Dex

March: none

April: Falling, Doctor Who, Ninth Doctor/Rose

May: Is It Any Wonder, Doctor Who, Ninth Doctor

June: none

July: Alone, Doctor Who, Tenth Doctor

August: none

September: Riot, SGA, Ronon Dex

October: none

November: What If We Could, SG-1, Baal

December: none

Of these, “Is It Any Wonder” and “Lonely Day” were by far the best received. My favorite of the lot is probably “Riot” just because I’m not fed up with the song yet.

In other news, Istar is home from the vet and doing very well. He’s currently taking a nap on the computer desk. 😉

Home Again…for good!

He’s home! Istar is home and whining chilling in his plush kitty suite. He looks great and has a lot more spunk than when he went to the vet’s office. I know being alone in the bedroom is hard on him, and I’ll keep him company much of the time. I have to remember that it’s better for him to be alone in there watching television than to be in a crate at the vet’s. Hobbit is NOT pleased with being separated from him, but until he heals, that’s the way it’s going to be. With work kicking into high gear and our internet connections going wonky and spotty, I probably won’t be able to do much browsing during the day, and as promised, I won’t be around here much, either. Take care of each other while I’m away.
Have a great week, everyone!!

So Terrible

dc0081l.jpgI’m sorry for the lack of updates, but since Ben and Jesse left, Istar has been more and more lethargic and shown a lack of appetite. Yesterday, I noticed a little bit of pus on his paw so today I called the vet and asked what I should do. They recommended that I bring him in so they can extend his antibiotics, so I rushed home from work to take him to the vet. Once we got there, they said he had a fever and an infection and that he would have to stay overnight. After breaking down into heaving sob tears, I left him there and returned home. I haven’t done hardly anything except lie around with Istar, so I’ve missed out on all the New Year’s stuff, and I’m not sure when I’ll be posting again. I’m going to get him a new litter box of his own and set up my room as his own personal haven. He’ll have to be confined for 5-7 days once he gets home, and it’ll be rough on him. I know I won’t be on the computer much during that time because I’ll be in the back room with him. Hobbit will be lonely and sad, but I’ll make it up to her in some way. I think she actually misses having him around because she kept going from room to room looking for him earlier. Awww.

Happy New Year to everyone and I’ll see you around soon. *sniff*

[Edit: The new theme is bonked and there’s no way I’m taking the time to fix it. That’s why I like to stick to my own themes, even if they are a bit boxy. I’m using “THANKS” as the new default. It’s Bean, which is always good, and since he has a new movie coming out, it’s relevant to the times for the rest of you :wink2:]

Home Again, Home Again

istar.jpgIstar is home from the vet and doing very well. He seems to like his medicine, which is completely opposite of Hobbit’s experience. It took three of us to get Da Hob to take hers; one person to hold her, one person to hold her mouth in place, and one person to squirt the medicine. Little Guy, on the other hand, has to be removed from the medicine bottle, lest he drink it all at once; a much better problem to have. :elf:

There’s a bit too much jumping around from him, and Hobbit’s not taking his return as well as I’d liked, but I’m pretty sure she missed him while he was gone, as she cried a bit at bedtime when he wasn’t here. Now that he’s less likely to attack her a hundred times a day, I think they’ll be fine once he gets the smell of the vet off of him.

I’m still waiting to hear from Ben as to whether he’s going to make it down today or not, and I guess I’ll just keep picking up as if he is :flake:
