What the hell?!?

Let me tell you, LOTR is the most decent, kindest, and most respectful fandom for vidding. Seriously, the push for SW vids is awesome, but it’s bringing out the loons. Yes, I took the time to learn about downloading. Yes, I spent over a year working on a great ratio with a private tracker. Yes, I face penalties from my affiliation with said entity. But apparently, I’m supposed to hand over MY efforts to anyone who wants it. I know of rampant clip theft in HP, horrible snarking from Buffy, and now vid trashing and “gimme” mentality in SW. Pfft!

Thank gawd I started in LOTR, else I’d have already quit. Sheesh!

[Edit: I’m already yelling “Bitch, please” at my monitor. I may have to leave the SW fandom. Grrr]

I’ve decided to make an Anakin/Obi-Wan (non-slash) vid. The problem? Ripping AOTC has taken 3.5 hours and it’s STILL not finished. By the time it finishes, I’ll have no time to make the vid! Hurry up!

Edit: Monday Night 11pm I’m LOVING how this vid is turning out. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Tuesday is the release date.

On the advice of , I checked out a LOST vid. Holy crap this vid is awesome! Mind-blowingly awesome. There really aren’t words to describe how good this vid is. The vid (and song) is They and I’m entirely hooked.

Here’s a little info about my last post.

For quite some time, this guy has been showing up at the WP Forums and helping out from time to time. More often than not, his words appeared to be sarcastic and somewhat anti-WP. On his personal site, he began to BLAST WP on a regular basis. His main bone of contention was his jealousy that someone else’s design had been chosen as the “Default” WP template, known as Kubrick. Get over it already. This weekend, someone hacked (supposedly) his site after he switched hosts. Hence, Karma.

He has gone completely batty at this point. In a simple thread by the developer asking people to list their grievances against the Kubrick template, this guy went all the way to batshit insane. It seems one of the other mods may have deleted one of his many comments. Hence, Karma…again.

When the mod restored everything (even adding a button to the mod screen so he would have to approve deletions), dude STILL wasn’t happy. Here’s a bit of the response by the developer, Matt;

I suppose it’s plausible that Ryan is part of some giant conspiracy revolving around you, Kubrick, and world domination, but I imagine he (as I) has better things to do.

In a fit becoming Fandom Wank, he took his toys and left. Hopefully, never to return.
