I’m nearing the end of my rope here. The more I look for a suitable job, the less I think there is such a thing. I had another interview today with a craptastic company. I don’t want an “air quotes”OPPORTUNITY “air quotes” I just want a job. A “regular person, 9-5, sit on my butt and make my little money” job. I’m starting to think that going to WV may not be such a bad idea afterall…..*kicks self for not already being there*

I’m stuck!
I’m stuck in WaitLand. How can anyone watch over me if they can’t get to me?!? *wails*
Do I want to what?
So in my neverending search for a job, I filled out some crappy analysis thing. It told me that I had some strengths, what to work on, blah blah blah. Today I got a call from someone who made it seem like I’d won the lottery. It seems I’ve been accepted into their program of something-or-other. All I have to do is drive to Raleigh (which is, I’m guessing, an hour away?) and let them tell me generic things I’ve already heard. She didn’t get to the part about bringing my checkbook with me, since I told her I had no gas money…..lol. She quickly gave me her number and said I can call her if I ever want to set up a time. riiiight.
Interesting, but…
Probably not for me. So the job interview went well; the pay (with commission) is six figures (yeah, right); the job seems simple. But, you have to be licensed, which means an 8-hr class, a test (neither are a big deal) and $199 to take the class (which is only offered next week in Charlotte, of all places). I don’t have money like that right now. Sure, you get reimbursed IF they hire you, but what would I do with a Mortgage License if they didn’t? It also takes at least 30 days to complete this process. Me: I’m sorry sir, but my rent is due before 30 days is up. Okay, I didn’t say that, but I was sure thinking it.
Not really sure what to do at this point. Meh.
