Bad on SO many levels

I just watched Team America: World Police. It’s not the worst movie I’ve ever seen, but it’s close. Normally, Matt and Trey entertain me, but this isn’t their standard fare.

Politically, I liked it. Plotwise, I liked it. It just wasn’t very entertaining. The puppets are terrific. There’s explicit puppet sex and A LOT of m/m content. There’s only one song in this one that’s worth anything, which was a letdown. The (overused) profanity doesn’t add anything to the movie. It’s no longer shocking or a social commentary, it’s just overkill. I wanted to enjoy this movie, but in the end, I was just glad it was over.

Technology, ain’t it great?

I purchased the best DVD player EVER. It plays almost any format you throw at it. VCD? SVCD? Soooo last year. This baby plays DivX and XviD with no problem. The best part? Only $69.99 at K-mart. Yes, K-Mart.

Since I have all of the latest (and greatest) shows and movies, I wanted to be able to watch them without having to convert them to .mpg (which looks like crap). I read that this Philips DVDP-642 could do all of that, so I began my small town quest to find one. Wal-Mart and RadioShack had none (nor did the salesmen know what DivX meant…sheesh!). In a last ditch effort, I decided to go out of my way to the always disappointing Big K. The rest is history. I now watch burned CDs of shows that look better on CD than they did with DirecTV the first time around.

*dances the happy dance*

Awww, damn

R.I.P. Rodney Dangerfield

LOS ANGELES – Rodney Dangerfield, the goggle-eyed comic famed for his self-deprecating one-liners and signature phrase “I can’t get no respect,” died Tuesday at age 82, his spokesman said.

I’m not quite as saddened as I was when Jack Elam passed away, but I am still very moved by this news. *sniff*

Sexy men, you say?

My latest addiction, In Touch Weekly has this week’s list of the 10 Sexiest Men of the Season. I agree with almost all of them.

The Sexiest______
10. Sense of Humor-Jamie Foxx (meh)
9. Rebel- Colin Farrell (GUH, buy it for this pic alone!)
8. Newcomer- Jason Momoa (meh)
7. Lips- Nick Lachey (I can see that)
6. Eyes- Gael Garcia Bernal (ooh, yeah)
5. Family Man- Colin Firth (meh)
4. Body- Taye Diggs (I know someone who agrees *g*)
3. Smile- Oliver Hudson (Yeah, ok)
2. Accent- Jude Law (You know how I feel about him!)
1. Everything- Brad Pitt (I think he’s past his prime, but still yumm)

Maybe I’ll make up my own list to compare and contrast….but I think it would read something like, 10. Sean Bean 9. Sean Bean 8. Sean Bean…..you get the picture. However I would like to add one category…Best Fictional Character–Major John Sheppard. *eg*
