Work has been absolutley crazy lately. They told me it would “pick up” in Feb/Mar, but I could never have prepared for all of this madness. I am absolutely run down. Today I’m going to clean this house quite a bit, catch up on my friends’ journals, start beta-ing an Aragorn/Boromir fic (yay!), eat some mexican food, and run to Wal-Mart to get some Hobbit supplies. *whew*
In slightly better news, I finished the Shep/Weir sapfest. :love:
I’m back in my contacts…whoo! My good doc was supposed to order them, but I guess the 2260 young girls working for him forgot. They said they knew Wal-Mart stocked the Focus Night & Day and that I could go there and get them.
WRONG! The cool guy at WallyWorld called about six different places until he found one that had them in stock. I had 20 min. to get to the next place so I flew around the icy mountainous curves and arrived just before quitting time.
*Whew* I thought. I ran in and gave them my prescription. They said they’d have them in a week or so. *Record scratch sound* HUH?!? You JUST said you had them. So this really nice chick runs in the back and finds one box of the strength I need for my right eye. WHOO! Perfect, since I had one lens remaining for my left eye (R.I.P.) and waiting for that order won’t hurt anything.
I’m going to soooo enjoy watching tv until I fall asleep. Few things make me happier. I’m easy that way.
Doc says I can get back into my contacts in two weeks. Thank gawd! Finished my first vid with my new toy. Playgirl is a fun little vid for my favorite female character since Buffy, Dr. Elizabeth Weir. I added a bunch of effects and overlays to this vid, which I’ve never done before. I’ve always feared it would make the vid look a little gaudy, but in this case, that’s what I was going for 😛
Ooh, I forgot…I also bought some new toys! I got a FOTR Gandalf the Grey with light up staff, Last Alliance Elrond, and King Theoden in armor. Wheeee!

Well, it is kinda the end of the world as we know it.

:clap: I figured up my taxes today, $1100 or so coming my way. The end of poverty is near….heh.
😎 My eye feels perfect, but I still have to go in Monday for yet another checkup. If it looks better this time, I get to set an appointment to get new contacts. The glasses, although sexy as hell to Dwayne, are killing me. Ugh.
😉 On the plus side, Monday is a holiday. No work for me. I will, however, reflect on the meaning of the day.
