Half Is Good

Yay! :flake: Half-day snowday today. Driving home was incredibly difficult, but knowing that I *just* started getting SG-1 S10.E11 and won’t get to watch it is even more difficult. I sooo hope we get a full snowday tomorrow, but since it’s stopped snowing and the county in which I work does an excellent job of clearing the roads, we probably won’t. I can always dream, though!

[Edit: The second I hit “Save” on this entry, the phone rang…two hour delay tomorrow! Many times, our delays turn into full days, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed :nod:]

Oh, what a lovely day this is! No.School.Today! I took yesterday off because of an eye appointment (no worries, vision is stabilized) and today is a snow day. That means I am in the midst of a four-day-weekend. Whoo!

Istar goes to the vet tomorrow for his booster shots and to schedule his surgeries and I’ll be so relieved once he’s healed and hopefully a little more calm.

stargate02.jpg SGA was disappointing this week. It was, um, nonsensical at best and I hope the rest of the season shapes up to be better. From the spoilers that have been out there, it’s going to get better, so I’m not really worried about it.

Torchwood continues to be a big pile of WTF. I don’t even know why I keep watching. Boredom, I suppose. I totally didn’t realize that Gwen had been the maid-chick on the Doctor Who episode “The Unquiet Dead”. Hmmph. Guess I was too taken with the Doctor to notice the first time around 🙂

The super-sexy Sam is still in it on Top Chef, so I’m still watching it with a smile. More than anything else, I’m watching old CSI eps on Spike everyday. I really did love that show. I think I’ll give it another chance.

Well, I suppose I’m off to wait for the heating repair guys to call or show up. Since I bought the house, the auxiliary heat has been busted, so as the temperature dropped to -10 degrees last night, the regular heat couldn’t keep up and it’s currently a freezing 65 degrees in here. :cold:

[Edit: Man, did I get shafted! The sequencer was bad. Sequencers cost around $15.00. I was charged $59.00+ $76.00 labor. 😡 There goes Christmas.]

*points to self* I am! I have a bit of a cold and a lot of “the tired” so I took a day. So far, I’ve taken a nap and cleaned the house a little while mediating the kitty fights. I felt like I might need a day, so I took care of many things at work yesterday in preparation.
As boring as this day is, it feels great.

Homecoming

It’s homecoming week at the school. It’s not like it was back in our day. Now, no one really seems to even care about it. The sense of apathy is overwhelming and I don’t know if it’s ever going to get better. I have decided to sponsor the dance team at the school. Now I don’t know a DAMN thing about dance, but the girls that want to have the team don’t have anyone willing to supervise them and many of them have nothing else bonding them to the school, so I’ve volunteered. The only thing I can foresee me doing is drawing out energy from some girls while forcing some of them to rein it in. Heh!

I haven’t really said, “THANKS!” to all my pals lately, so, um, THANKS! I really appreciate you all 🙂
