Chris Rock hosting the Oscars: Bad on soooo many levels. Don’t get me wrong, I like Chris Rock. I even once got into a heated debate over who is funnier, Chris Rock or Chris Tucker
An argument for which I might now have to switch sides. Rock was funny when his schtick was still new. Now that it’s been a while, it’s just stale. I don’t think his voice is going to lend itself to the occasion without just grating our ears. He hasn’t been in a quality movie since New Jack City (poor Pookie) and the only thing he has going for him is his crassness (is that even a word?). I think this will turn out to be the lowest rated and received telecast in Academy Awards history.
I was told by many that I couldn’t use a DVD as a sort of Super-CD in terms of storing my videos. HA! I know better now!
Using a wonderful little program called Easy DVD Burn or something like that, I was able to put the first half of Stargate: Atlantis on one DVD with no conversion, authoring, or problems. I was able to use my HDTV XviD format which looks as good as retail DVD. I’m going to do the same with Lost when it hits the halfway mark, because I.can.not.get.enough.of.these.shows.
How freakishly amazing is Lost?!? I started watching for Dom, then that Fox guy, and now I’m starting to crush on that Viggo-esque guy. Oh, and Kate too…she’s hot as can be.
I don’t know if it’s just because as a total loser I can identify with Locke and his sorry assed life, but the last five minutes of tonight’s episode had me bawling like a baby. Seriously, people had to console me. I could not love a show more than this.
