Be careful what you wish for…

l was wanted this weekend. I was needed this weekend. It wasn’t exactly the way I fantasize about, but it was nice. My mom was having a rough time of it, and I could tell she wanted me to spend some time with her this weekend. Todd and Coley had a full plate, and I didn’t really need anything from my apartment urgently, so I stayed home.

Ooh…Ben’s on the phone…laters!!

Of firewalls and comments

Okay, guys, here’s the story. I am working for a school system. We have firewalls that protect the children from harmful internet content. That’s a good thing, I suppose. What is absolutely NOT a good thing, is that it also blocks my access to Karen’s sites. That’s right. D-t-R is one of the sites I can’t get to from work. Not because of her content, just because for some reason, the firewall blocks it. This also means that I couldn’t access my “Comments” feature from work. Grrr.

Soooo, what I’m trying to say is this: Try out the new comments I added (idea from Shrubbery)! Just after each entry, you’ll see the clickable prompt. So go ahead, HAUNT ME! It’s supereasy to do. I promise.

And whatever you do, remember that Karen is still the number one web guru out there, and her sites ROCK!

Flames, FLAMES, on the side of my face!

Survivor: Pearl Islands has me LIVID right now. I can see why the Drake tribe would want Rupert out. They’re right. They CANNOT beat him in the end. But for them to “up and decide” that he’s too this or too that has really pissed me off. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this angry because of a reality show.

I think I’m going to have to go calm down.

p.s. HAHAHAHA, Trish!

RIP, Jack Elam

I know many of you won’t know who Jack Elam is. You’ll know his face, and maybe his voice. I’ll leave it to you to go to IMDB if you choose.

I love Jack Elam. If you’ve ever seen my dad, you might know why. I think it boils down to the eyebrows, but for some reason, I’ve always thought they resembled each other. Jack played the lovable rogue in several films that I enjoyed. He had an “off” look to him whereby he often looked disheveled or even crazed. He is known more for the gazillion Westerns he acted in, but my favorite role was the doctor in The Cannonball Run.

…and now I go to be sad…

[Edit: Now I’ve seen where Rerun died, also. *sigh* RIP, Rerun]
