Fandom Hate

I have an abundance of fandom love. I have delved deep into various ‘ships, groups, and singularities. With such passion, comes the converse. The fandom hate. Only once before have the two collided; when John and Aeryn became Cameron and Vala. I dealt with it quite well and even embraced both characters and actors. I have a feeling it will NOT be the case this time.

The ugly girl from Veronica Mars is joining Heroes. I don’t like Kristen Bell. I have no rational reason, I just don’t like her look or her style. My dislike of her exceeds that of Firefly tenfold. I love Heroes, however, so her appearances will not deter me from the fandom unless she becomes too much of a focus. With the number of new actors they are adding, there’s a chance she won’t be featured too much, so I’m not ringing the alarm just yet.

The Doctor Who casting news is actually unconfirmed at this time, but it makes perfect sense if you’ve seen the last episode of Series 3. Joan Collins will make for a very interesting villain, but meeting more and more Time Lords and Ladies kind of takes away from the mythology of the new series. That said, I’m looking forward to her arc if the casting rumor is true.

Enough fun, I’m off to work!

Sonic Feeder

I feel bad for laughing. A little.

Istar was watching Doctor Who‘s “The Runaway Bride” with me when The Doctor used his sonic screwdriver to open the Tardis. I never noticed before, but Hobbit and Istar’s new feeders make the exact same sound as the screwdriver when they rotate for feeding times. Needless to say, Istar bolted into his room expecting dinner and returned vocally displeased at his deception.

😆

Will.Not.Read

Arrrgh! Like most of the world, I now have access to the last book. I will.not.read. I.will.not.read.

Actually, I don’t have too much problem with waiting, as it’s only a few more days now, but the temptation is soooo great. Arrrgh!

I’m enjoying the first two years of Doctor Who right now. Well, enjoying may not be the right word… I’m actually killing time until Susan and her screechy voice are GONE. I’m very much wanting to get to The Third Doctor, as he is the one I remember most from childhood. I guess our local PBS station had a few years of delay in airing the show. I remember Four as well, but The Third Doctor was my favorite. How ’bout that?

Happy Hump Day!
