Happily Ever After

German fans have confirmed that the remaining episodes of Pushing Daisies will air in their country. Hopefully (and likely), we can share the excitement with them. It’s shameful they way ABC can’t even finish the season. It’s two episodes, for pete’s sake!

Anyway, hooray, Germans!

It seems that love bloomed on the set of Fringe. Anna Torv and Mark Valley recently (and secretly) wed! That’s just…wow! After this week’s episode, I was thinking that we may have actually seen the last of Agent John Scott, but now he’ll at least be reachable should they need him, no?

Fringe Binge

I’m going on a binge. Hearing the latest podcast from The Fringe Podcast has reminded me just why I love this show. Oddly enough, as all the heavy-hitters from the top Fringe podcasts listed their favorite episodes thus far, none of them listed the pilot, which was, for me anyway, absolute genius. Just after the pilot, I would say my favorite episode was “The Arrival” in which we get to really see CBG (Creepy Bald Guy) up close. Niiiice.

I watched the season finale of Sanctuary today, and I discovered something about myself: throw a goatee on just about anyone and I am going to find them attractive. Watson as Taneth (on SG-1), not hot; Watson as Watson (on Sanctuary), sign me up!

I Don’t Get You

The news this week for my favorite shows was dismal.

Yes, Fringe got a full season pickup and the ratings weren’t horrible, but I just don’t understand why more people aren’t gaga over this show. I want to yell at them, “But you are the ones still fanboying Lost, for Pete’s sake!” The argument that “It’s not believable” doesn’t hold up to the ridiculousness that we see on that show. Geez.

Pushing Daisies got slammed by reviewers, and again, I don’t get it. I loved the episode. I did feel that it needed even more Emerson, but I also thought it felt just as whimsical as Season 1 and therefore, was awesome.

Ugly Betty received virtually no press, so there’s another of my shows seemingly past its prime. Woe.

Somewhat related, Sanctuary was neither wow nor terrible; just meh.

Head-To-Head #1

In the battle for geek show supremacy, I have to give this week’s title to Fringe. While Merlin gets a pass for it being only the second the episode and Heroes was solid, Fringe was just amazingly captivating and tingle-worthy. I’m not sure just how much show mythos we’re seeing versus stand-alone elements, but I am LOVING this show more and more with each episode.

Loopability: (1-10)
Fringe: 10
Heroes: 6
Merlin: 1
