Wank!

I’ve had nothing to post about lately, but one little thing has forced me to post:

Over on Fandom Wank, there’s a post about some wank about the movie 300. Lots of comments along the lines “Sparta was just Sparta, not good not evil….” follow until llama treats busts out with the perfect comment: TONIGHT WE WANK IN HELL!

I’ve never used this phrase before, but llama treats is FTW!!

Christmas came TODAY!

boromir12.jpgSpamalot didn’t happen because something so wonderously magnificent happened instead. One of the students located a HUGE comic store in Times Square and thought I’d like to go, and was he right! This Boromir figure just jumped ahead of my Fellowship set as my favorite item in Fandom Room. I’m so in love with it I think I could die. I also scored two SG-1 Figures. I wish they had had a Carter, but I was able to pick up the Colonel O’Neill (better looking that General, and slightly more so than Black Ops O’Neill) and Jaffa Warrior Teal’c, who just looks amazing!

Yes, it’s been a good day in NYC afterall. I’ll be home this time tomorrow, and I’m actually ready to get home ASAP.

I want to see Ben and Jesse (hopefully) on their way home from Dollywood and now that Coley is around, I want to talk to her some more, too! Shrader and I will need to hang out and, oh, you get the picture.

The Winner Takes It All

Hey, guys! NYC is not rainy today. Whoo! We’ve seen two plays so far, Mama Mia and The Phantom of the Opera. Momma Mia is just a fun, fun, bright, happy time. I was surprised at how much I loved it. I was about 5 or 6 years old when ABBA was big, but the songs in the play made me feel like that giddy little 6 year old again. Two thumbs up!! 😉 😉

The Phantom of the Opera
was a HUGE disappointment. It was the play I was looking forward to the most, so chances are I just hyped it too much in my head and it couldn’t live up to my excitement. It wasn’t Chicago bad, it was just blah. Very blah.

After seeing the movie version of Rent, I gave up my Broadway ticket of the show to see Les Miserables instead, but to be honest, it’s not looking like I’m going to it, either. Rent looks and sounds like something I could have written and performed, so you know it’s got to be crap. I’d almost consider paying full price to see Spamalot instead. Hmmm. There’s an idea!

The bagels are delicious, as are the cart hotdogs, but I haven’t spent much money on anything, so I might just see if people want to do the Spamalot switch. 😛

Hexes Everywhere!

So even though I’ve recorded all of Robin Hood, I’ve yet to watch it. As it recorded last night, however, I saw a familiar face–Jez from Hex. Watching the new Doctor Who just now, I see that Cassie has a nice little role. Roxanne makes the tabloids occasionally, but I can’t remember who she was spotted with. Only one question remains: Where’s Thelma?!?

I’m leaving for NYC in a couple days and I’ll try to be more present once I return. Toodles!
