The Winner Takes It All

Hey, guys! NYC is not rainy today. Whoo! We’ve seen two plays so far, Mama Mia and The Phantom of the Opera. Momma Mia is just a fun, fun, bright, happy time. I was surprised at how much I loved it. I was about 5 or 6 years old when ABBA was big, but the songs in the play made me feel like that giddy little 6 year old again. Two thumbs up!! 😉 😉

The Phantom of the Opera
was a HUGE disappointment. It was the play I was looking forward to the most, so chances are I just hyped it too much in my head and it couldn’t live up to my excitement. It wasn’t Chicago bad, it was just blah. Very blah.

After seeing the movie version of Rent, I gave up my Broadway ticket of the show to see Les Miserables instead, but to be honest, it’s not looking like I’m going to it, either. Rent looks and sounds like something I could have written and performed, so you know it’s got to be crap. I’d almost consider paying full price to see Spamalot instead. Hmmm. There’s an idea!

The bagels are delicious, as are the cart hotdogs, but I haven’t spent much money on anything, so I might just see if people want to do the Spamalot switch. 😛

  1. I HATED “Rent”. It was so full of suckage.

I’m not a big musical person. Guess it was because in college I kept getting passed over for them.

But I hope you had fun.
