How did Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban go from being my favorite book of the series to my least favorite movie? I’ve made a list:

Everything looks dilapidated
Everything looks grimy
Establishing shots are far too long
i.e. leaves, Hedwig, umbrella, birds, Harry and Buckbeak flying taking up 30+ seconds of film
Key points are left out to make room for said establishing shots
Set continuity was completely spat upon
While I love the Latino influences, this is England we’re in
Lovely Emma looks constipated and pissed off the whole time
Many more that I will probably add later

I’ve thought that I would like movie a bit better after watching it on DVD, but I’m still disgusted with it. I hope the “cool” factor isn’t a driving force of GOF.
