Sam Troughton, who plays Much on Robin Hood is the grandson of Patrick Troughton, aka the Second Doctor! Cool, no? Patrick is also known for being the first actor to portray Robin Hood on telly. Sam’s cousin Harry Melling is best known as Dudley Dursley in the HP movies.
Every British actor is related in some way. I’m sure of it.
I saw that the other day on wikipedia when I was looking to see if it was spelled Locksley or Loxly. Seems either is alright. But I was unawares of the Dursley angle.
I’m not surprised about all the interconnectedness in light of the London theater community and the BBC being basically next door to each other. That and the rampant incest of the aristocracy. Trickle down effect indeed.
