Arrgh, Urrgh, and Hmmph! Every time I’m on the phone with one of my parents, without fail, they get a call waiting beep; which they always take. That is, they take the beep if they don’t flat out cut our conversation first. Just now, I called them and it rang busy, thus signaling that they were either calling out or receiving a call at that very moment. I waited a few minutes to call them back, and whaddya know? They aren’t answering my beep.
I really do not want to hear any more about “Oh, you’re such a hermit,” or “Why don’t you ever want to do anything outside your home.” THIS is why, y’all. 😥 and 😡

My mother does the same thing! It’s extremely annoying. :cussing:
My other “favorite” rude phone behavior is: You’re in a store. Let’s say Wal-Mart. Right before Christmas. (This one actually happened to me.) In the electronics department. You wait and wait and just as you finally get to the front of the line, the phone rings. Presto! The phone is instantly answered…while you wait. Fun, huh? Not.
In fact, when this happened to me in Wal-Mart, one of the clerks was making faces off to the side, saying this same woman had called a couple of times already that day, looking for other games. I told the clerk to get me the phone. He motioned the clerk on the phone, who handed it to me. I snarled: “If you want to know so damn bad what’s here at Wal-Mart, why don’t you get in your car and drive over here LIKE THE REST OF US!”
hehehe. i told the teenaged-boy clerk that he could blame it all on “that crazy lady.” he looked very relieved.
That’s shitty! :nonono: What would happen if you did the same thing? I wouldn’t answer my phone for days. Do they ever read this? 🙄

OMG, that was probably me on the phone at Wal-Mart. I had to call around one year because my brother had just added a 6 year old stepson to our family and I had NO idea what game he was asking for or who would even have it.
I’m a pro now, so I just order online or spot it and BAM! In the cart it goes. :jack:
Ben, I’m not surprised by the phone anymore, and yes they read this. Wouldn’t answer the phone for days, you say? Hell, it only rings maybe once a week anyway. The only reason I even keep service is for the all holy Snow Day. :cold:
