I can love a movie right up until the big reveal of the villain’s plan or motivation, then I just start to tune out. It’s happened with several movies over the years, and Watchmen was no exception. Loved the backstories, loved the bit of mystery, loved the feel, then BAM! We find out the who and why, and I’m OUT. I started walking around, not paying attention, and generally not caring about what was happening. Still, it was a good movie. Not my favorite, but certainly better than that other superhero movie people loved last year.
