Is This Planet Protected?

The new season of Doctor Who began today with a very triumphant debut of the Eleventh Doctor. There is a definite shift in tone from the previous series (or non-series as it was), and I think this is exactly the episode to reset with. The introduction of Amy Pond was the best companion beginning yet, and I already love her. The rest of the plot didn’t really blow my mind, but the nod to the previous Doctors was glorious and brought out an actual cheer. I think Eleven is a very capable incarnation and I look forward to seeing him in action week after week.

I’m already re-watching because I let a lot of information slip past me the first time. I also want to compile a list of “clues” to watch for as the series progresses because I think there will be quite the payoff with this writing team. For instance, there is a blue lens flare that lingers for a considerable amount of time when there is no known source of light for that scene. Hmmmm. I’m also curious about the possible significance of the “Myth” laptop. Each of those things may be inconsequential, of course, or they could be related to the coming Silence. Who knows?

Who knows, indeed!! *ahem*

  1. I appreciate that you mentioned lifestyle preferences too, not just health needs. Seniors should feel comfortable where they live. I’ve been browsing Independent Living communities on senior care to see what kinds of amenities they offer.

  2. My kitchen faucet was beyond repair and I needed it replaced quickly. Coast to Coast Plumbing came out to my Encino home the same day I called, installed a quality replacement I had already purchased, and tested everything thoroughly before leaving Best Plumber Los Angeles

  3. Normally I do not learn article on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very
forced me to check out and do it! Your writing taste has been surprised
    me. Thanks, quite great post.

  4. It’s helpful to know that Independent Living is often more about convenience—meals, housekeeping, and social activities—rather than nursing care. I first learned that distinction through reading guides on respite care .

  5. In big facilities, some residents hesitate to ask for help. In small homes, relationships are closer, so support with bathing or dressing feels more comfortable. That’s why I think elderly care is onto something.

  6. A lot of families don’t realize that Nursing Homes are more medically focused, while Assisted Living emphasizes daily assistance. I’ve been using resources like elderly care to guide conversations with my siblings about our mom’s care.

  7. It’s helpful to know that Independent Living can be a good stepping stone for seniors who want to downsize but are not ready for personal care services. I first considered that pathway after reading about it on elderly care .

  8. I like that you explained how Assisted Living supports activities of daily living without taking away all independence. This concept was also clearly described on assisted living , which helped me understand what my father might experience.
