Is This Planet Protected?

The new season of Doctor Who began today with a very triumphant debut of the Eleventh Doctor. There is a definite shift in tone from the previous series (or non-series as it was), and I think this is exactly the episode to reset with. The introduction of Amy Pond was the best companion beginning yet, and I already love her. The rest of the plot didn’t really blow my mind, but the nod to the previous Doctors was glorious and brought out an actual cheer. I think Eleven is a very capable incarnation and I look forward to seeing him in action week after week.

I’m already re-watching because I let a lot of information slip past me the first time. I also want to compile a list of “clues” to watch for as the series progresses because I think there will be quite the payoff with this writing team. For instance, there is a blue lens flare that lingers for a considerable amount of time when there is no known source of light for that scene. Hmmmm. I’m also curious about the possible significance of the “Myth” laptop. Each of those things may be inconsequential, of course, or they could be related to the coming Silence. Who knows?

Who knows, indeed!! *ahem*

  1. A good point about evaluating current and future needs—mobility, chronic conditions, and memory issues—before choosing a level of care. I downloaded a planning worksheet from respite care that asked many of the same questions.

  2. The point you made about staffing levels in Nursing Homes versus Assisted Living is key. More medical staff means higher care but also a different environment. I used senior care to look deeper into typical staffing ratios in each type.

  3. Great post. I was checking continuously this
blog and I’m impressed! Very helpful information specially the
last part 🙂 I care for such information a lot. I was seeking this particular information for a long time.
    Thank you and good luck.

  4. Your section about evaluating current mobility, medication needs, and chronic illnesses is very practical. I downloaded a similar assessment form from elderly care and used it during my mom’s last doctor’s appointment.

  5. Seniors often prefer familiar faces supporting them with personal care. A small home makes that possible because staff turnover and rotation are usually lower. I found assisted living while searching for exactly that type of setting.

  6. I’ve been looking for the very best Chiropractor near me in St Augustine and maintained seeing fantastic testimonials about Pain Relief Centre. After my initial appointment, I comprehended why– expert care, personalized therapy, and real results chiropractor st augustine
