Is This Planet Protected?

The new season of Doctor Who began today with a very triumphant debut of the Eleventh Doctor. There is a definite shift in tone from the previous series (or non-series as it was), and I think this is exactly the episode to reset with. The introduction of Amy Pond was the best companion beginning yet, and I already love her. The rest of the plot didn’t really blow my mind, but the nod to the previous Doctors was glorious and brought out an actual cheer. I think Eleven is a very capable incarnation and I look forward to seeing him in action week after week.

I’m already re-watching because I let a lot of information slip past me the first time. I also want to compile a list of “clues” to watch for as the series progresses because I think there will be quite the payoff with this writing team. For instance, there is a blue lens flare that lingers for a considerable amount of time when there is no known source of light for that scene. Hmmmm. I’m also curious about the possible significance of the “Myth” laptop. Each of those things may be inconsequential, of course, or they could be related to the coming Silence. Who knows?

Who knows, indeed!! *ahem*

  15. Its such as you learn my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like
you wrote the guide in it or something. I believe that
you just can do with a few % to drive the message home a little
bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog.

An excellent read. I will definitely be back.

  16. More than any other keep track of on Halsey’s career-most effective
    LP If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, “I am not a lady, I’m a god”
embodies the bitter resignation of the album’s title: detachment as a mask for self-loathing.

If you are traveling with one thing you really do not
want to lose (like that passport we reminded you to take – you’ve even now
got it, appropriate?), then it is a superior idea to retain it locked
up somewhere secure. Where is your beloved spot you’ve visited?
That explained, it’s plain that Pc Music is a great deal divisive.
Plenty of other people just discover the label’s sped-up trance stabs saccharine,
and its hiccup-ridden choruses aggravating, artless,
or even worse. He cites producers Max Martin and Jam & Lewis as inspirations
and singles out Scritti Politti’s Cupid and Psyche 85 as an example of “‘extreme’ pop new music”-“a genuinely wonderful stability of great hooks, rhythms and sounds.” Praising Cassie, he suggests, “some of her tracks epitomize the nominal, artificial, pretty much robotic possible of industrial music, some thing which can seem crap when it is performed badly, but can also turn out to be a type of ideal, untouchable products when finished in the correct way.” To that end, I find it telling that he states he prefers to compose
working with “incredibly simple seems, mainly the most unexciting string, flute and piano seems my computer system has”: even at its most ecstatically garish, there’s a deadpan good quality
    to his sped-up trance anthems.
