The new season of Doctor Who began today with a very triumphant debut of the Eleventh Doctor. There is a definite shift in tone from the previous series (or non-series as it was), and I think this is exactly the episode to reset with. The introduction of Amy Pond was the best companion beginning yet, and I already love her. The rest of the plot didn’t really blow my mind, but the nod to the previous Doctors was glorious and brought out an actual cheer. I think Eleven is a very capable incarnation and I look forward to seeing him in action week after week.
I’m already re-watching because I let a lot of information slip past me the first time. I also want to compile a list of “clues” to watch for as the series progresses because I think there will be quite the payoff with this writing team. For instance, there is a blue lens flare that lingers for a considerable amount of time when there is no known source of light for that scene. Hmmmm. I’m also curious about the possible significance of the “Myth” laptop. Each of those things may be inconsequential, of course, or they could be related to the coming Silence. Who knows?
Who knows, indeed!! *ahem*

Bravo (Uk). Before One HD’s formal start, most breakaway programming shown on Ten Hd
ceased from one January 2009, and only showed a high-definition broadcast of the current
Ten digital support, together with a couple athletics-dependent breakaway packages.
Upon the regional media shakeup on 1 July 2016 wherever Win Television replaced Southern Cross Austereo as Ten’s major regional
affiliate community, WIN’s large definition simulcast
on channel 80, Win Hd, turned Ten HD’s regional counterpart.
The channel ceased broadcasting on 25 March 2009, and the pursuing working day was replaced by One Hd (now recognised as
10 Bold). Ten Hd officially shut down on 25 March 2009, with One Hd (now 10 Bold) launching the next
day. Rather than introduce a new electronic assistance,
Ten resolved to relaunch Ten Hd as a sports-only channel, to be named One Hd
(now 10 Bold), and use its standard definition simulcast on channel 11
to broadcast a standard definition simulcast termed One SD.
Following the government’s determination to clear away the SD Primary Channel constraints, the channel
restored as an Hd simulcast on 2 March 2016 on channel thirteen.
On 16 September 2020, Network ten moved ten Hd to electronic channels 1 and fifteen next the addition of 10 Shake from 27 September 2020.
To make place for this, 10 Bold’s Hd feed closed down and 10 Bold was reduced to two standard definition (SD)
feeds.
