The new season of Doctor Who began today with a very triumphant debut of the Eleventh Doctor. There is a definite shift in tone from the previous series (or non-series as it was), and I think this is exactly the episode to reset with. The introduction of Amy Pond was the best companion beginning yet, and I already love her. The rest of the plot didn’t really blow my mind, but the nod to the previous Doctors was glorious and brought out an actual cheer. I think Eleven is a very capable incarnation and I look forward to seeing him in action week after week.
I’m already re-watching because I let a lot of information slip past me the first time. I also want to compile a list of “clues” to watch for as the series progresses because I think there will be quite the payoff with this writing team. For instance, there is a blue lens flare that lingers for a considerable amount of time when there is no known source of light for that scene. Hmmmm. I’m also curious about the possible significance of the “Myth” laptop. Each of those things may be inconsequential, of course, or they could be related to the coming Silence. Who knows?
Who knows, indeed!! *ahem*
What’s Going down i am new to this, I stumbled upon this I have discovered It absolutely helpful and it has helped me out loads.
I’m hoping to contribute & help other customers like its aided me.
Great job.
Cinematographer Stanley Cortez shot the film fully indoors in ominously
lit rooms and corridors, and editor Jerome Thoms amps up the hysteria with speedy cuts that produce a montage of disturbing actions,
violent outbursts, and dream sequences. Director Stanley Kubrick’s acquire on Stephen King’s terrifying novel has
only grown in esteem by way of the years. Like
several Stephen King novels and tales, it was tailored to movie,
but, as some critics have mentioned, the very best motion pictures have arguably resulted from the
non-horror section of King’s literary output (this kind of as the
novellas “Stand by Me” and “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption”).
Director Sam Fuller’s movies normally have been labeled way too edgy and unseemly,
with the capacity to at the same time seize and repel the
viewer. Director Ross McElwee’s 1st element-size documentary ostensibly focuses on the modern day effects of Civil
War General William Tecumseh Sherman’s renowned March to
the Sea on Southerners. In the film, General
Sherman’s tale intersects McElwee’s own self-deprecating tale
of everyday living, like, and religion.
