I’ve just watched the 10 available episodes online, and I’m very curious to see where this phenomenon leads. It’s intriguing to say the least. I’d not call it good or bad, though I suppose I lean toward “good” since I would like to see more. Just go check it out and let us know what you think.
I watched the 1st three eps a while ago then kinda forgot about it even though I liked it. I feel somewhat iffy classifying this one as steampunk, though. Maybe it’s just my interpretation of what steam punk really is (and I do believe it’s wide open) but to me if it takes place on a completely different world with a completely different history then whatever level of tech it has just reads as “other.” Throw on all the goggles and corsets you like but, for me, if Queen Victoria isn’t toddling around somewhere it just doesn’t wash as steampunk. I also put Golden Compass in this category. That said, I dig whenever somebody makes up whole new worlds and histories for their stories.
