Holy hell. First thing, I KNEW that was Chantho from last year’s Utopia. IMDB didn’t even have it listed yet, but I knew it. Yup. Donna is so greater than Rose. Yup. Rose, or rather Billie Piper sounds like she has a mouth full of false teeth and they’re slipping out constantly. It nearly made me gag just hearing her speak. Donna’s grandfather had the most moving scene I’ve seen in a long time. Oh, sheesh, I was crying. Anyway… Sarah Jane! Those kids she runs around with! Torchwood! Martha! All dead, but still…yay continuity!

Next week? OMFG. Just the preview alone is worth a thousand viewings. All of the above, ALIVE! Whoo! The Doctor at the end of this episode? Finally his manic side WORKS. It looks like they have REALLY pulled out all the stops for the finale and I.CANNOT.WAIT! 😮 [/cut]

I’m back from my annual tech conference…and just in time! Had the conference gone any longer, I might have missed the chance to see the sneak release of SGA’s fifth season premiere.

Overall, I’m pleased with the episode. I hate to see Carter go, but since I’ve been watching Voyager twice a day for the last couple of months, I have an appreciation of The Doctor Woolsey. What I do not have an appreciation of, is the nasaly, whiny doctor we are stuck with, Dr. Keller. Too much airtime for her and I may seriously cut ties with this show. That she made it as a series regular, when they let Weir go makes me physically ill. The episode was pretty garden variety SGA, but with some weird planetary shots that went on a bit too long. Seeing Caldwell is ALWAYS a treat, and the Ford cameo was just “awwww”. We’ll see how this season goes…

It’s that time of year again….time for all stop what you’re doing and wish Ben the happy birthday he deserves.  When he’s not volunteering his time feeding sick children, he’s walking homeless dogs on golden leashes or planting rows upon rows of lush tree saplings.

Oh, fun!

The past two days have seen me having quite a fun time.  I went to the ER Monday morning with what I knew was a kidney infection due to the fever and intense pain I had in my back.  Yup.  Sure was.  As the day progressed, my slightly sore throat turned into the worst I’ve ever had, so much so that I couldn’t eat and my fever returned.  My teeth ached so badly that chewing was out of the question, but it didn’t matter; I couldn’t even swallow saliva without agonizing pain.  Mom had enough of it and forced me to see yet another doctor last evening.  After a quick injection of steroids and penicillin, I woke up this morning in a pool of sweat with a HUGE smile on my face.  I was better!  Completely!  I’ve never thought such a turnaround could be possible, but it happened.  It could also be due to the homemade biscuits and gravy my mom made just for me.  :love:

Now, geekspeak.  Coldplay’s album is laughably bad.  Maybe it will grow on me, but it’s definitely not on the level of the last one.  Awww.  Too bad that 1) I don’t care for Lost anymore 2) I don’t vid anymore.  There are two songs I could make the most corny vids to.  One is actually titled “Lost” and would be a good Locke vid, no?  The next is “42” and has Hurley written ALL OVER IT.(“Those who are dead are not dead/They’re just living in my head.”) Bwa!  I have no doubt those vids will be made by others, and done well, of course.  I imagine there will be one of the “Lost” song for every character at some point.  It’ll be interesting to watch.
