That’s IT. Who’s barking?!?

I heard a teacher ask a classroom of students that question this morning. Good stuff.

More good stuff: As the principal “intimidated” a first grader so that he would show better behavior, the principal asked the student, “Do you know what’s going to happen if you have to come back to my office?” The little boy replied, “You’re gonna bust hell wide open?”

More evidence of my growing Conservativism

I listen to NPR on the way to work every morning. This morning, they did a piece on the Minnesota judicial system. In order for a defendant in MN to receive the services of a public defender, they must pay a fee. Misdemeanors typically cost the defendant around $50. Here’s the part that gets me: There are people that argue against it! They say that the indigent people cannot afford to pay the fee. Well, guess what I say to those people. Don’t commit crimes! I mean, sheesh, if you can’t pay the nominal fee, then maybe you should re-think the whole criminal activity thing.

I’m tired of working to support others’ poor decisions. I’m tired of supporting children that aren’t mine. I’m tired of paying for the defense of men and women that assault other people or choose to use/sell drugs. I’m even tired of “loaning” money to loved ones who don’t get off their ass to get a job and make their OWN money.

I hate working, and the least I should be able to do is decide where my money goes.

One thousand.

It’s one thousand degrees in here. I’m at work, in a school where we have no control over the heat/AC. The “office” makes the decision for the rest of the school. I’ve been to the “office” and it’s NOT an inferno. Maybe I’ll just set up shop in the “office” and let this room BURN, BABY BURN!

Anyway, Survivor: Pearl Islands is on tonight. My guess for returning players : Burton and Michelle. I had to think pretty hard on the last one, and it may just be that I want Michelle more than the others, but I def think Burton is back. CSI had better not be garbage-y like last week. I mean, come on, now…animals?!? UGH.

I am SO sleepy. In case you missed it, Jaxson’s second page has been updated to include pictures of him picking out a pumpkin. Total cuteness! After waiting forever, I finally got a pic of Narayan on my Pictures page. He’s got his niece on his shoulders, in case you were wondering…heh.
